Rolling Stones: ecco la ristampa di "Black and blue" con inediti

Ora è ufficiale: i Rolling Stones festeggeranno il cinquantennale di "Black and blue", il loro iconico album del 1976, con una speciale ristampa che conterrà oltre ai brani originariamente inlcusi nel disco anche degli inediti. Dopo le sibilline anticipazioni degli scorsi giorni, Mick Jagger e soci hanno condiviso ora tutti i dettagli del progetto, tramite i loro canali social ufficiali. 

La ristampa di "Black and blue" arriverà nei negozi il prossimo 14 novembre sotto forma di un mega-cofanettone, un "Super Deluxe Box Set" che Jagger e soci definiscono come "pieno di registrazioni inedite". Il box conterrà anche un Blu-ray con filmati di rare esibizioni, un libro di cento pagine con fotografie esclusive e una replica della locandina del tour del 1976. 

Oggi alle 17.00 sul canale YouTube della band sarà svelato in anteprima il nuovo video di "Shame, shame, shame":

"Black and blue" è un disco centrale nella discografia dei Rolling Stones, per più di un motivo. Fu il primo disco registrato dopo l’uscita di Mick Taylor. Durante le sessioni vennero provati diversi chitarristi (Jeff Beck, Rory Gallagher, Harvey Mandel, Wayne Perkins), ma alla fine fu scelto Ronnie Wood, che entrò stabilmente nella band. L’album è quindi un documento del periodo di passaggio e di ricerca del nuovo "suono Stones". Uscito dopo il grande successo di "It’s Only Rock ’n Roll" (1974), l'album rappresentò l’inizio di un periodo cruciale, che porterà al trionfo di "Some Girls" (1978). All'epoca, solo il primo singolo estratto dal disco, "Fool to cry", ebbe un grande successo, mentre la critica si divise. Anche quei pochi critici che promossero l'album, lo fecero con giudizi tiepidi. La ristampa punterà a far rivalutare l'album.
