Ex membri di Yes, Tool, Dream Theater e altri insieme in 'The fusion syndicate'

Raggrupperà alcuni dei nomi più importanti della scena rock, fusion e prog "The fusion syndicate", album che l'etichetta Purple Pyramid spedirà sul mercato il prossimo 16 ottobre: alla registrazione del disco, nella cui tracklist si contano sette tracce, tutte scritte da Billy Sherwood, hanno infatti preso parte, tra gli altri, gli ex Yes Rick Wakeman e Tony Kaye, Mel Collins (già nei King Crimson), Colin Edwin e Gavin Harrison dei Porcupine Tree, Jordan Rudess dei Dream Theater, Billy Cobham, il già collaboratore di Steve Vai Billy Sheehan, David Sancious (già con la E Street Band di Bruce Springsteen, oltre che con - tra gli altri - Sting e Zucchero), John Etheridge (già nei

Soft Machine), Justin Chancellor dei Tool e l'ex Gong Steve Hillage.

"Quando mi hanno detto di scrivere e produrre un disco fusion mi sono gettato anima e corpo nell'impresa", ha detto Sherwood, in passato già collaboratore degli Yes e al mixer per le session in studio di Motorhead, Paul Rodgers e molti altri: "Sono cresciuto ascoltando Weather Report, Return To Forever e Mahavishnu, e ho un profondo amore per il jazz e la fusion. Per questo album sono riuscito a mettere insieme un vero e proprio dream team, nel quale militano alcuni dei musicisti più rispettati a livello mondiale. Ogni musicista coinvolto ha condiviso il suo talento e il suo virtuosismo, facendolo confluire in un disegno musicale più grande, dando vita ad un'incredibile espressione di unità".
