Bruce Springsteen, EP con 4 inediti per il Record Store Day. E un tribute album
Si intitola "American beauty" l'EP contenente quattro brani inediti che Bruce Springsteen pubblicherà - sotto forma di 12 pollici in vinile - il prossimo 26 aprile in occasione del Record Store Day 2014: come riferisce l'edizione americana di Rolling Stone, tre delle canzoni incluse - la title track, "Mary Mary" e "Hey blue eyes" - sono outtakes lavorate con Ron Aniello provenienti dalla session del più recente album del Boss, "High hopes", mentre non è chiara l'origine della quarta, "Hurry up sundown".
Ad oggi, non è stato specificato se - accanto alla pubblicazione in vinile - l'EP possa essere spedito sul mercato, anche in seconda battuta, sotto altri formati: di certo il già chitarrista dei Rage Against the Machine Tom Morello, al momento nelle fila della E Street Band per il tour in supporto a "High hopes", ha fatto sapere di avere in programma di rileggere "Hey blue eyes" con un suo prossimo progetto del quale, però, ancora non sono stati rivelati i dettagli.
Poco meno di un mese prima - il 25 marzo - verrà invece reso disponibile "A MusiCares tribute to Bruce Springsteen", registrazione dell'evento tenutosi lo scorso 8 febbraio al Convention Center di Los Angeles che ha visto una nutrita pattuaglia di star internazionali (tra le altre, Neil Young coi Crazy Horse, Elton John, Sting, John Legend, Mumford & Sons e Patti Smith) rileggere dal vivo alcuni dei brani più noti del repertorio del rocker del New Jersey: la testimonianza del concerto verrà resa disponibile sul mercato sotto forma di DVD e Blu Ray.
