Adele, scelta obbligata. La nuova edizione degli Ivor Novello Awards non poteva non prendere in considerazione il fenomeno discografico del 2011 e quello che, in quanto a vendite, sta spopolando pure nel 2012. Ecco così che non stupiscono le quattro nomination andate alla cantante londinese. I premi britannici, anche detti colloquialmente Ivors, sono riconoscimenti alla composizione dati in memoria del gallese Ivor Novello, scomparso nel 1951 e che ebbe grande successo durante e tra le due guerre mondiali.
