Pubblicata una canzone inedita di Tina Turner (legata agli AC/DC)

È stata pubblicata oggi, 23 gennaio, una canzone inedita di Tina Turner. Il brano, che si credeva fosse andato perduto, si intitola "Hot for you baby" e arriva come anticipazione della nuova edizione celebrativa dell'iconico album della regina del rock'n'roll del 1984, "Private dancer".

Registrata ai Capitol Studios di Hollywood, la canzone doveva essere in origine una traccia del quinto lavoro di studio della musicista statunitense e ha in qualche modo un legame con gli AC/DC. "Hot for you baby", prodotta da John Carter, è infatti stata scritta dai musicisti australiani Henry Vanda e George Young, la coppia che ha prodotto i primi album degli AC/DC e il classico dal vivo "If you want blood you've got it". George Young era il fratello maggiore di Angus e Malcolm Young, e ha anche prodotto l'album del 2000 degli AC/DC "Stiff Upper Lip".

Vanda e Young avevano inizialmente scritto il brano per un'altra loro produzione, l'album del 1979 "Heaven Sent" del cantante australiano John Paul Young - per cui il duo scrisse e produsse anche la hit "Love is in the air" - che pubblicò la canzone anche come singolo, ma non riuscì a entrare in classifica.

Registrata poi da Tina Turner, ora "Hot for you baby" torna come traccia bonus inedita inclusa nell'edizione per celebrare il quarantesimo anniversario di "Private dancer" che uscirà il prossimo 21 marzo come cofanetto contenente cinque dischi e un blu-ray. Il box set presenterà brani inediti, esibizioni dal vivo e filmati live restaurati dagli spettacoli di Turner alla NEC Arena di Birmingham nel 1985, quando David Bowie e Bryan Adams si unirono a Turner sul palco e fu girato l'iconico video di "It's Only Love".
