Gli Enter Shikari, il gruppo post-hardcore britannico fondato nel 2003, sono in testa alla lista delle nomination per l'edizione 2012 degli AIM Independent Music Awards. La band iniziò a far parlare di sé in maniera veramente originale: totalmente sconosciuta al grande pubblico, a fine 2006 fece registrare un clamoroso “tutto esaurito” all’Astoria di Londra pur non avendo in circolazione alcun disco. Il gruppo, per il sold-out, aveva avuto solamente bisogno di un download: il file, postato sulla loro area su MySpace, fu scaricato un milione di volte scatenando il passaparola. Per gli AIM Independent Music Awards si tratta della seconda edizione. Visto l'assalto ai biglietti avvenuto per la prima, quest'anno la manifestazione si sposta alla più capiente Brewery nell'East End di Londra. "E' un grandissimo piacere essere uno dei presentatori dopo il debutto dell'anno scorso", ha detto Steve Lamacq, presentatore di BBC6 Music e Radio 2 della BBC.
