Biografia
Gli Atmosphere sono un gruppo hip-hop americano con base a Minneapolis formato dal rapper Slug (Sean Daley) e dal deejay Ant (Anthony Davis). La formazione nasce alla fine degli anni ’80 quando Daley e l’amico Derek Turner (alias D-Spawn) frequentano la stessa high school e provano come Mental Subjects, poi A Rhythmic Culture, infine Urban Atmosphere. Dopo l’arrivo di Davis, il duo diventa un trio chiamato semplicemente Atmosphere. Il primo album OVERCAST! esce nel 1997 per l’etichetta Rhymesayers, espressione di un più ampio collettivo di rapper e deejay. Quando Turner lascia la formazione, gli Atmosphere tornano ad essere un duo e nel 2001 pubblicano LUCY FORD: THE ATMOSPHERE EPS, unione di due diversi EP che gode di una distribuzione nazionale.
