A Londra sono state annunciate le nomination al “Mercury music prize”. Il
nome del vincitore sarà diffuso nel corso di una cerimonia che si svolgerà
nella capitale britannica il prossimo 6 settembre. Gli artisti in lizza
sono i seguenti:
Bloc Party per l’album “Silent alarm”
Hard-Fi per “Stars of CCTV”
Kaiser Chiefs per “Employment”
MIA per “Arular”
Magic Numbers per “The Magic Numbers”
Coldplay per “X&Y”
Go! Team per “Thunder, lightning strike”
Antony And The Johnsons per “I am a bird now”
KT Tunstall per “Eye to the telescope”
Maximo Park per “A certain trigger”
Seth Lakeman per “Kitty Jay”
Polar Bear per “Held on the tips of fingers”.
Oltre al prestigio, al gruppo od artista solista vanno 20.000 sterline, circa 29.400 euro.
