Bruce Springsteen, il "The river tour" si apre con un omaggio a Bowie: VIDEO e SCALETTA

E' partito questa notte da Pittsburgh il "The river tour" di Bruce Springsteen con la E Street band, per celebrare l'uscita dello storico album dell'80 (e per promuovere il recente box "The ties that bind"). E subito il Boss ha regalato una prima sorpresa ai suoi fan. Sorpresa, sì, ma non troppo: una cover di David Bowie - un omaggio atteso, in questo giorni, e soprattutto da un artista come Springsteen, legato al Duca Bianco da una lunga amicizia.

Bowie fu infatti uno dei primi musicisti a realizzare una cover di un suo brano e Springsteen, prima di attaccare "Rebel rebel" lo ha ricordato con queste parole: "David incise la nostra musica molto molto tempo fa, negli anni '70. Andai a trovarlo a Philadelphia nel '73 mentre stava incidendo 'Young americans' e ci andai con il bus della Greyhound, per dire quanto tempo è passato da allora. Incise alcune mie canzoni: "It's hard to be a saint in the city" e "Growin' up". Fu un nostro grande supporter".

Ecco la scaletta della prima data: dopo l'apertura con "Meet me in the city", Springsteen, come da programma, ha suonato per intero "The river" - quindi una decina di altre canzoni, tra cui l'omaggio a David Bowie.
