Secondo il solitamente bene informato sito Politico, Michelle Obama avrebbe contribuito alla realizzazione di un album rap, collaborando con la Partnership for a Healthier America e la Hip Hop Public Health per il progetto “Songs for a healtier America”, una raccolta di brani che dovrebbero, almeno nelle intenzioni, suggerire l’opportunità di una vita più sana (fra i titoli: “Sei quello che mangi” e “Ci piace la verdura”). All’album hanno contribuito Ashanti (nella foto), Doug E. Fresh, Jordin Sparks, DMC dei Run DMC, Nils Lofgren e Matisyahu, Ariana Grande e Travis Barker dei Blink-182 insieme in un trio denominatosi per l’occasione Salad Bar. La moglie del Presidente degli Stati Uniti non canta né rappa nel disco, ma, secondo il sito, ha contribuito con delle apparizioni nei video.
