Wiley, che data l'età anagrafica -non certo tarda, ma comunque più alta rispetto a tanti altri artisti del suo genere - viene definito "il padrino del grime", pubblicherà un nuovo album il prossimo 1° aprile. Il rapper, 34 anni, che viene dalla zona londinese del Bow come il "collega" Dizzee Rascal, è all'ottava prova. Quella nuova è stata battezzata "The ascent" e, a proposito di "colleghi", ne ospita parecchi. Wiley, vero nome Richard Kylea Cowie, ha infatti chiesto apparizioni a Kano, Skepta, JME, Ghetts, Griminal, Manga, Frisco, Scruizzer, Double S, Chip, Wrigz, J2K, Ice Kid e Megaman. In più, una presenza non da poco: Emeli Sandé, che interviene sul brano "My heart". Per l'album, rimandato due volte, sono già stati pubblicati due singoli, "Heatwave" e "Can you hear me?" che complessivamente hanno venduto 700.000 copie. Il tracklisting del disco:
