"Stop making sense", il "concert movie" del 1984 con i Talking Heads impegnati sul palco, è stato votato "Best gig movie di tutti i tempi" da parte della rivista "Total Film". La pellicola di Jonathan Demme fu girata nel corso di tre serate al Pantages Theater di Hollywood nel dicembre 1983 mentre la band stava promuovendo l'album "Speaking in tongues".
