Smashing Pumpkins: in arrivo box deluxe di 'Adore', con polemica contro Amazon

Gli Smashing Pumpkins il prossimo 23 settembre pubblicherannno una ristampa in edizione deluxe del loro album "Adore" (originariamente pubblicato nel 1998): si parla di ben sei cd - per un totale di 107 brani, comprendenti moltissimi bonus, demo e outtake varie - più un dvd live.

I dettagli di questa operazione sono stati comunicati il 16 luglio dalla band, ma contestualmente il leader Billy Corgan ha colto l'occasione per polemizzare duramente contro Amazon (sia in un comunicato ai fan, che su Facebook e Twitter), colpevole di avere reso pubbliche le informazioni sulla ristampa prima che venissero ufficialmente svelate dagli Smashing Pumpkins.
Un vero e proprio leak, dunque, che ha diminuito l'effetto dell'annuncio, oltre a non tener fede a un accordo preso - secondo cui la notizia avrebbe dovuto essere data prima dalla band, tramite il sito ufficiale, e poi comparire in altre sedi (tra cui, appunto, Amazon).
Questo incidente, per Corgan, è uno dei sintomi del fatto che l'industria discografica ha scarsa considerazione degli artisti, che vengono spesso messi un condizione di essere "sfruttati" per quanto riguarda "la proprietà e i diritti sui loro vecchi lavori".
