Con tre riconoscimenti è Carly Rae Jepsen la vincitrice dei Juno Awards. "Mi ricordo che nel 2010 ho avuto una nomination, con Ryan Stewart, per compositrice dell'anno", ha detto la cantante. "Ho pensato che quello fosse il momento più fantastico della mia vita. Ma mi sbagliavo. E' ora". I Juno Awards-Canada's Music Awards vengono assegnati dal febbraio 1970. La sede è sempre stata a Toronto, ma nel 1991 si è deciso di portare la cerimonia anche presso altre città della nazione nordamericana e così la serata di premiazione ha avuto luogo anche a, tra le altre sedi, Halifax, Ottawa e Saskatoon. L'edizione 2011 è però tornata a Toronto dove, all'Air Canada Centre, è stata presentata dal rapper Drake. La tornata 2012 si è svolta presso lo Scotiabank Place di Ottawa, Ontario, e Michael Bublé si è accaparrato, davanti a 12.000 spettatori, il trofeo "Album of the year" per il suo disco natalizio. L'edizione 2013 ha avuto luogo a Regina, Saskatchewan, e tra i premiati si è notata la premiata ditta Rush. La veterana band, giunta a segno per la nona volta ai Junos, alla manifestazione ha vinto nella categoria "Rock album of the year" per "Clockwork angels".
