Dopo aver dragato i fondali con ogni possibile imbarcazione raccatta-materiale, è ora la volta di un'altra antologia dei Kinks. Attenendosi solamente agli ultimi tempi, c'era stata la massiccia riedizione del marzo 2011, che aveva visto tornare sugli scaffali sotto forma di deluxe edition sette album; c'era poi stato il cofanetto "The Kinks in mono" dello scorso novembre, e ancora un altro box-set, "The Kinks at BBC". La nuova variazione sul tema s'intitola "Waterloo sunset: the very best of The Kinks and Ray Davies". Si tratta di un CD doppio con i successi del gruppo sul primo disc, mentre per il secondo disc Ray Davies ha selezionato pezzi che parlano di Londra. Il lavoro sarà pubblicato il prossimo 13 agosto con questo tracklisting:
