Arriva una compilation dei Libertines, ma c’è chi protesta

S’intitola “Time for heroes – The best of the Libertines” la compilation con i brani più conosciuti del gruppo i cui due co-leader furono Pete Doherty e Carl Barat. La band, nel corso della sua breve esistenza, pubblicò due soli album: “Up the bracket” nel 2002, incensato dalla critica britannica ma praticamente un flop in quanto a vendite e posizionamento in classifica, e “The Libertines” nel 2004, un successo e numero 1 nella chart del Regno Unito. Il fatto che la raccolta, in vendita dal prossimo 29 ottobre, non faccia che contenere pezzi già editi nei due CD ha fatto infuriare alcuni fan di Doherty e Barat. E, presumibilmente, delle loro nuove realtà, Babyshambles e Dirty Pretty Things. Sul forum del sito dei DPT, ad esempio, un utente ha scritto che si tratta di un’idea del cavolo e che probabilmente Carl e Pete non hanno nulla a che vedere con la trovata che sembra escogitata giusto per mungere le tasche dei fan. Un altro utente, nel forum dei Babyshambles, ha affermato che un disco simile è un insulto.
