La registrazione è stata effettuata al Barbican di Londra il 29 marzo 2004 e contiene, oltre alle canzoni, i discorsi (più o meno polemici) con i quali il cantautore separa un brano dall'altro; le esternazioni di Bragg (Steven William Bragg, 20 dicembre '57, Barking, Essex) spaziano dai fallimenti del nuovo partito laburista alle terribili notti di addio al nubilato a Newcastle.
