R.E.M., per i 25 anni di "Monster" un cofanetto da 6 CD

Uscirà il 1° novembre la mega-ristampa di "Monster", l'album che i R.E.M. diedero alle stampe nel 1994: è il disco più rock del gruppo, dominato dalle chitarre elettriche e distorte di Peter Buck. Al tempo si parlò dell'influenza del grunge sul gruppo di Athens - e una delle canzoni, "Let me in", era dedicata a Kurt Cobain, amico di Michael Stipe, suicidatosi pochi mesi prima.

Così come per le ristampe degli album precedenti del gruppo scioltosi nel 2011, "Monster 25" adotterà il formato multi-disco con la versione originale dell'album, demo inediti (quelli di questo album non sono mai circolati neanche come bootleg), un concerto del tour del '95, e materiali video. Questo box contiene anche una versione remixata per l'occasione: secondo il giornalista Matthew Perpetua - autore delle note di copertina - suona "molto diversa dall'originale". Il sesto dischetto contiene l'album in versione alta definizione, i videoclip originali, il film-concerto "Road movie" (originariamente pubblicato nel '95).
