Prince, esce ad aprile il nuovo cofanetto 'Ultimate rave': ecco cosa c'è dentro

Un nuovo cofanetto di Prince. Si intitola "Ultimate rave" e arriverà nei negozi il prossimo 26 aprile, quasi in concomitanza con il terzo anniversario della scomparsa del folletto di Minneapolis. La raccolta includerà il disco del 1999 "Rave Un2 the joy fantastic", la versione remix del 2001 "Rave In2 the joy fantastic" e un dvd contenente la versione integrale del "Rave Un2 the Year 2000", la festa organizzata da Prince nel 1999, originariamente trasmessa a Capodanno del 1999 solo in pay-per-view (tra gli ospiti anche George Clinton e Lenny Kravitz).

I due dischi del 1999 e del 2001 saranno disponibili anche in vinile in edizione limitata e di colore viola (per la precisione, "Rave In2 the joy fantastic" sarà stampato su vinile per la prima volta in assoluto).

La pubblicazione di "Ultimate rave" arriva in occasione della "Celebration 2019", l'evento di quattro giorni che si terrà dal 25 al 28 aprile a Paisley Park, dimora storica di Prince, dove il cantante fece anche costruire il suo studio di registrazione. L'evento accoglierà i fan di Prince provenienti da tutto il mondo con musica dal vivo, proiezioni di concerti, tavole rotonde e presentazioni speciali. Tra gli artisti che si esibiranno quest'anno anche Jesse Johnson dei Time, i Revolution, i Funk Soldiers, un supergruppo di 15 studenti di musica di Paisley Park e New Power Generation.
