Gli One Direction hanno conquistato tre premi ai Teen Awards di Radio1 della BBC. I ragazzi, che hanno da poco pubblicato il nuovo singolo "Live while we're young" (con un "attacco" che sarebbe molto simile al riff di "Should I stay or should I go" dei Clash) e il 13 novembre faranno uscire il secondo album "Take me home", sono tornati a casa con il "Best British music act", il "Best British single" per "One thing" e il "Best Brtish album" per "Up all night". Il gruppo si è esibito nel corso di una serata che ha visto live anche Taylor Swift (pantaloncini corti anni Sessanta, top semitrasparente), Little Mix (le vincitrici dell'ottava serie dell'"X Factor" britannico) e Conor Maynard. Il "Best British show" è stato attribuito a "X Factor" ed è stato ritirato dalla giudice Tulisa Contostavlos, ex N-Dubz. Il "Best British actor" è andato a Daniel Radcliffe, lanciato in vari progetti cinematografici dopo i fasti di Harry Potter; la sua ex compagna Emma Watson, che fu Hermione Granger, è la "Female hottie of the year". "Inspirational Hero of 2012" è Ellie Simmonds, vincitrice alle Paralimpiadi. I vincitori:
