Come già annunciato da Rockol, gli MGMT pubblicheranno il prossimo 3 ottobre una compilation curata da loro ed intitolata "Late night tales". Il duo statunitense ha scelto alcuni dei brani di artisti del panorama indie e rock come Suicide, Velvet Underground, Julian Cope e Spacemen 3.. Proprio ieri, è stato diffuso su tutti i network statunitensi, la cover inedita realizzata dagli MGMT: "All we ever wanted was everything" dei Bauhaus. Il brano, ascoltabile qui, è stato mantenuto intatto rispetto all'originale, senza l'aggiunta di alcun tocco electro da parte della band. Goldwasser e VanWyngarden formano gli MGMT nel 2002 ed hanno all'attivo tre album, dei quali il primo è "Climbing to new lows" del 2005. Ecco la tracklist di "Late night tales":
