Nel maggio del 1993, l’ex frontman dei Jam e degli Style Council Paul Weller pubblicò il suo secondo lavoro solista con il titolo “Wild wood”. Il disco, che giunse al secondo posto nelle classifiche di vendita britanniche, fu incentrato su sonorità folk-rock ispirate ad artisti come Nick Drake, Van Morrison e Crosby, Stills & Nash.
A distanza di quattordici anni il “Modfather”, coadiuvato dal produttore Brendan Lynch, ha deciso di dare alle stampe una deluxe edition del disco contenente ben 28 episodi aggiuntivi tra demo (tra cui una versione di “Ohio” di Neil Young), registrazioni dal vivo e versioni inedite: da segnalare inoltre un ampio booklet con un’intervista a Weller e foto del periodo.
