La Nitty Gritty Dirt Band il prossimo 20 maggio pubblicherà “Dirt Does Dylan”, un album composto da dieci canzoni tratte dal repertorio di Bob Dylan. La storica band californiana fondata nel 1966 per questa registrazione ha presentato in formazione tre nuovi membri: il violinista Ross Holmes, il bassista Jim Photoglo (che ha scritto uno dei più grandi successi del gruppo, "Fishin' in the Dark") e Jaime Hanna, figlio di Jeff, fondatore della Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Il disco è stato prodotto e registrato da Ray Kennedy al Room & Board Studio di Nashville. Il comunicato stampa dell'album riporta: "una Dirt Band che abbraccia una generazione che rende un tributo appropriato al più grande cantautore del ventesimo secolo con l'aiuto di amici come Jason Isbell, War & Treaty, Steve Earle e Rosanne Cash".
