"Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage”, è l’ultimo atto dei R.E.M. annunciato poco dopo la notizia dello scioglimento, data il 21 settembre scorso. Non è la prima raccolta della loro carriera. Solo negli ultimi 10 anni ne erano uscite altre due, e diverse ancora prima. Questa però è la prima a riunire in un’unica pubblicazione tutto il catalogo della band, quello del periodo IRS (1982-1987) e quello del periodo Warner (1989-2011). comprende
37+3, con quasi tutti i classici, qualche sorpresa e tre inediti: “We all go back to where we belong”, “A month of saturdays” e "Hallelujah”.
