Le parole di Samoth sembrano non lasciare troppi dubbi: se ne vanno, dopo la reunion del 2005, gli Emperor, tra i maggiori protagonisti della scena black metal norvegese. Commentando la futura pubblicazione del doppio album “Live Inferno”, in uscita in tutto il mondo a metà del prossimo aprile, il chitarrista ha detto: “Sembra proprio che questa pubblicazione segnerà l’addio degli Emperor. Sono una testimonianza della reunion che ha portato il gruppo ad altezze ancora maggiori, eventi come il festival Wacken in cui siamo stati headliner davanti a 60.000 spettatori. Gli Emperor sono morti, lunga vita agli Emperor!”. Il doppio “Live Inferno”, registrato tra 2005 e 2007, arriverà in vari formati tra i quali un DVD e un doppio vinile ma la versione di base è –appunto- un doppio CD che conterrà i seguenti brani:
