Jack White, esce un nuovo album: c'è anche un inedito degli White Stripes datato 2005 - ASCOLTA / TRACKLIST / COVER
Quando aveva annunciato la decisione di volersi prendere una pausa a tempo indeterminato, l'ex frontman degli White Stripes aveva specificato: "Pausa a tempo indeterminato dall'attività live", senza fare nessun accenno alla sua attività discografica. E infatti, ora, Jack White annuncia a sorpresa la pubblicazione di un nuovo disco: intitolato "Acoustic recordings 1998-2016", l'album raggiungerà il mercato il prossimo 9 settembre, praticamente tra un mese. Al suo interno troveremo 26 tracce che assemblano tra loro versioni acustiche di brani pubblicati da White in veste solista ma anche b-sides e versioni alternative delle canzoni pubblicate insieme ai suoi White Stripes e Raconteurs.
Dell'album farà parte anche una canzone inedita degli White Stripes intitolata "City lights", originariamente scritta per "Get behind me satan" ma poi lasciata dentro ad un cassetto fino a quando White non ha rivisitato l'album pubblicato dalla band nel 2005 in occasione del Record Store Day del 2015 - le registrazioni sono state concluse nel 2016.
Si tratta del primo inedito degli White Stripes dal 2008 ad oggi: potete ascoltare "City lights" proprio qui sotto.
