E' stato presentato questa sera nel corso della puntata dell' "X Factor" britannico il video ("appena montato in fretta, ancora un po' da sistemare", ha detto Bob Geldof, che ha anche precisato come le scene iniziali non siano forse adatte a un programma di intrattenimento - mostrano una vittima del virus Ebola trasportata fuori da una casa da infermieri con maschere protettive) di "Do they know it's Christmas?" nella versione registrata sabato scorso a Londra.
Come anticipato, sono gli One DIrection a cantare la prima frase della canzone, ri-registrata per raccogliere fondi destinati alla lotta al virus Ebola.
