Tutto il meglio degli scozzesi Proclaimers in un nuovo 'Best of'

Ancora loro. Incuranti del tempo che passa e che non regala più successi. I non fedelissimi se li ricordano probabilmente solo per "Letter from America", ballata folky con tanto di tipica "erre" scozzese. Sono passati tanti anni: era infatti il dicembre 1987 quando quello che rimane il maggior successo dei Proclaimers, i gemelli Charlie e Craig Reid, arrivò al numero 3 delle classifiche britanniche. E a qualcuno, s'intende sempre ultrafan esclusi, torneranno in mente per la successiva "I'm gonna be (500 miles)". Ma in tutti questi anni i due di Leith, il "porto di Edimburgo", in realtà non hanno mai smesso ed anzi hanno continuato a sfornare album. E' ora la volta, prima di nuovi capitoli di studio, di tirare il fiato con una raccolta. I Proclaimers, annunciando l'uscita del nuovo singolo "Not cynical", hanno affermato che "The very best of 1987 - 2012" arriverà durante questa estate e conterrà pezzi da tutti i loro nove dischi di studio e cioé "This is the story" (1987), "Sunshine on Leith" (1988), "Hit the highway" (1994), "Persevere" (2001), "Born innocent" (2003), "Restless soul" (2005), "Life with you" (2007), "Notes & rhymes" (2009) e "Like comedy" (2012).
