American Music Awards, nomination: in testa Rihanna e Nicki Minaj

Rihanna e Nicki Minaj conducono la corsa delle nomination, con quattro di esse ognuna, alla prossima edizione degli American Music Awards. Nella categoria principale, "Artist of the year", la cantante delle Barbados dovrà misurarsi con Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 e con il canadese Drake. Minaj, che qualche giorno fa è stata beccata dalle telecamere durante un diverbio con Mariah Carey ad "American idol", col suo album "Pink Friday: Roman reloaded" è in lizza nelle categorie pop-rock e rap-hip hop. Bieber ha tre menzioni, come le hanno One Direction, Maroon 5, Drake ed Usher. Gli organizzatori della manifestazione quest'anno hanno introdotto la categoria EDM; per il genere electronic dance music sono in pista David Guetta, Calvin Harris e Skrillex. Le due artiste maggiormente premiate nella scorsa edizione, Taylor Swift e Adele, stavolta hanno una nomination a testa. Un campo osservato con attenzione, il "New artist", propone J. Cole, fun., Gotye, Carly Rae Jepson e One Direction. La cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà al Nokia Theater di Los Angeles il prossimo 18 novembre.
