I Melvins tentano il record mondiale per il tour più veloce degli USA

I Melvins, il gruppo USA fondato ad inizio anni Ottanta e molto ammirato da Kurt Cobain dei Nirvana, vogliono entrare nel Guinness dei Primati. La formazione sludge metal di Buzz Osborne, che lo scorso anno è riuscita nell'incredibile impresa di subire sia il terremoto del Giappone sia quello della Nuova Zelanda, tenterà di esibirsi in tutti i 50 Stati statunitensi in soli 51 giorni. La band inizierà il prossimo 5 settembre dal Bear Tooth Theatre and Pub di Anchorage, Alaska, per poi concludere l'estenuante serie di show il 25 ottobre al Republik di Honolulu, Hawaii. Il blog del "Los Angeles Times", gufando, fa notare che basterebbe un tornado o un altro terremoto per far fallire l'erculea impresa. Buzz (per gli amici King Buzzo) e soci hanno appena pubblicato l'album "Freak puke" e tenteranno il record mondiale con questo calendario:
