Nile Rodgers ravviva gli Chic, vanno al festival Vintage

Nile Rodgers, che nel 1976 ideò gli Chic con Bernard Edwards, ha deciso di rispolverare il glorioso marchio che coniò successoni come "Le freak", la famosa canzone disco del 1978, per una serie di date. Tra quelle estive già confermate dalla formazione, che ora è denominata "Chic featuring Nile Rodgers" anche perché Edwards è morto nel 1996, spicca il festival Vintage che si terrà in Gran Bretagna. La kermesse, arrivata alla terza edizione, è prevista dal 13 al 15 luglio a Boughton House, Northamptonshire. Tra le altre vecchie glorie, impossibile non notare i Damned, creatori di quello che viene generalmente ritenuto il primo singolo punk della storia, "New rose" dell'ottobre 1976, e gli Alien Sex Fiend, il gruppo fondato al Batcave di Londra  - il locale ritenuto culla del goth - nel 1982.
