Ivor Novello Awards, i vincitori

Plan B, il cantante londinese che iniziò come rapper per poi passare al soul, e che vorrebbe tornare al rap, ha vinto tre premi agli Ivon Novello Awards svoltisi oggi a Londra. L'artista, vero nome Ben Drew, si è portato a casa il "Songwriter of the year", l'"Album award" per "The defamation of Strickland Banks" e il "PRS For Music Most Performed Work" per il singolo "She said". Tra gli altri premiati presso l'albergo Grosvenor House, un altro rapper londinese, Tinie Tempah il cui singolo "Pass out" ha ricevuto il "Best Contemporary Song", e i Muse, ai quali è andato l'International Achievement honour. I premi, anche detti colloquialmente Ivors, sono riconoscimenti alla composizione dati in memoria del gallese Ivor Novello, scomparso nel 1951 e che ebbe grande successo durante e tra le due guerre mondiali.
