I Coldplay, con il loro album debutto “Parachutes”, si preannunciano come i protagonisti dell’edizione 2000 dei Q Awards con tre nomination come miglior singolo, miglior album e miglior nuovo artista. Il quartetto capitanato dal cantante Chris Martin si trova a rivaleggiare con i Travis, a loro volta in lizza in tre categorie: Best live act, Best act in the world e Best video per “Coming around”. A seguire, con due nomination, Badly Drawn Boy e Doves (entrambi come miglior album e miglior nuovo artista). La serata di consegna dei premi del mensile “Q”, che sono decisi dalla votazione del pubblico, è in programma il prossimo 31 ottobre al Park Lane Hotel di Londra.
