“Quando questi musicisti suonano insieme, accade qualcosa di magico. Da tempo volevo catturare quello che facciamo dal vivo. La chimica tra noi è davvero speciale”. Così il cantautore americano Ray La Montagne ha spiegato il motivo per il quale il suo quarto album “God willin' and the creek don't rise” è co-firmato con la band dei Pariah Dogs, dopo tre lavori esclusivamente a suo nome. Altra novità è la produzione, totalmente curata dallo stesso Ray e la registrazione, avvenuta in una casa di campagna nel Massachusetts recentemente acquistata dal musicista, già di proprietà del primo ambasciatore di Russia negli Stati Uniti.
Il disco include dieci brani rock tipicamente americani, episodi folk-rock influenzati dal soul come “Repo man” e “Are we really through” e pezzi maggiormente roots e country sulla scia del maestro Neil Young come “Old before your time” e “Like rock and roll & radio”.
