Dalla terra del Galles giungono al debutto discografico i Bullet for My Valentine. “The poison” è un lavoro punk-metal composto da tredici brani che ricordano i conterranei Lostprophets e Funeral for a Friend e che trattano temi quali l’amore, la speranza e le esperienze della vita.
Prima di militare nell’attuale formazione, tre dei quattro componenti del gruppo erano membri di una band chiamata Jeff Killed John.
