Quando un mito del rock come Bruce Springsteen dedica un intero disco-tributo alla musica resa famosa da da un artista, vuol dire che quest’ultimo deve essergli davvero entrato nel sangue. Così, dopo le “Seeger Sessions” del Boss, il mondo intero riscopre Pete Seeger, uno dei simboli della musica popolare americana e del folk, tutt’ora in attività all’età di 87 anni. “Brothers & sisters” è una doppia antologia che raccoglie in un’unica pubblicazione trentasei canzoni che ne ripercorrono l’intera carriera, dai brani tradizionali voce e chitarra (o banjo) sul primo CD, a quelli scritti con gli Almanac Singers (di cui faceva parte anche Woody Guthrie e Lee Hays) e i Weaver (sempre con Hays) del secondo disco.
