Seguendo l’esempio di Ashley Simpson e Hilary Duff, un altro idolo delle teenager passa dalla tv al pop. Jesse McCartney è infatti l'interprete di Bradin nel telefilm “Summerland”; ora ha deciso di provare la scalata al successo anche nel mondo della musica. “Beautiful soul” è un disco pop con influenze R&B, urban e rock al quale hanno collaborato diversi produttori esperti del genere come Matthew Gerrard (Hilary Duff, Kelly Clarkson), Robbie Nevil (Babyface, Destiny’s Child), Andreas Carlson (Britney Spears) e Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Ricky Martin).
Jesse McCartney ha alle spalle ben due trascorsi musicali: ha militato infatti nella band di bambini Sugar Beats e nella boy-band Dream Street.
