“Elizabethtown” è il nuovo film diretto dal regista americano Cameron Crowe, già dietro la macchina da presa di "Jerry McGuire" e "Quasi famosi". In contemporanea all’uscita della pellicola nelle sale cinematografiche giunge nei negozi di dischi la relativa colonna sonora, aspetto sempre molto curato nei film del regista. Tra gli artisti presenti sull’album spiccano i nomi di Tom Petty (“It’ll all work out” e “Square one”), Elton John (“My father’s gun”), Ryan Adams (“Come pick up me”), My Morning Jacket (“Where to begin”), Patty Griffin (“Long ride home”) e Lindsey Buckingam (“Shut us down”).
