35 e 23 sono i due numeri che caratterizzano attualmente la vita degli Earth, Wind & Fire. Il primo è il numero degli anni di attività della storica soul band di Chicago; il secondo è il posto che occupa nella loro discografia il nuovo album “Illumination”. Il disco di Maurice White, Philip Bailey, Verdine White e Ralph Johnson è stato registrato con la collaborazione di numerosi ospiti che hanno aderito al progetto: l’onnipresente Will I Am dei Black Eyed Peas (“Lovely people”), Raphael Saadiq (“Show me the way”), Big Boi degli Outkast, Kelly Rowland e Sleepy Brown (“This is how I feel”), Floetry (“Elevated”), Brian McKnight (“To you”) e Kenny G (“The way you move”).
Il primo eponimo album degli Earth, Wind & Fire è stato pubblicato nel 1970 dalla Warner.
