√ Elvis Presley live al Madison Square Garden in CD e DVD

18 ago 2012 Un ormai lontano weekend che 80.000 spetattori trascorsero con Elvis Presley siu appresta a diventare una confezione con 2 CD e 1 DVD che sarà pubblicata il prossimo 30 ottobre. Si tratta del fine settimana del 9-11 giugno 1972, quando il King incantò i suoi fan al Madison Square Garden di New York. Il lavoro è intitolato "Prince from another planet", come il titolo che il "New York Times" dedicò all'evento. L'opera in realtà non propone grandi novità, visto che metà del materiale era stato pubblicato direttamente già nel '72 e l'altra metà poi nel '97 (rispettivamente con i titoli di "Elvis as recorded at the Madison Square Garden" e "An afternoon at the Garden"), ma nel DVD trova posto del materiale inedito recentemente ritrovato e che sarà presentato il prossimo 17 agosto all'Elvis Week Entertainment Pavilion di Memphis. Accompagna la confezione CD/DVD un piccolo saggio di Lenny Kaye, il chitarrista di Patti Smith.
