Belle & Sebastian, a marzo ‘Late night tales (volume two)’

25 gen 2012 - “Late night tales”, in precedenza “Another late night”, è il nome di una nota collana di dischi edita dall’omonima etichetta con lo scopo di far conoscere al pubblico le canzoni preferite (soprattutto quelle più notturne) da un’artista, solitamente proveniente dalla scena elettronica e indie.
Dal 2001 ad oggi hanno partecipato in molti, dai Groove Armada a Fatboy Slim, da Jamiroquai a Flaming Lips, passando per Four Tet, Air, Midlake, MGMT e molti altri.
Tra questi anche i Belle & Sebastian, che realizzarono la loro selezione nel 2006. Ora alla formazione indie-pop scozzese è stato chiesto di replicare l’operazione ed ecco allora un nuovo mix di 25 canzoni che sarà disponibile dal 26 marzo.
Tra gli artisti scelti per “Late night tales (volume two)” si segnalano i Broadcast, Mulatu Astake, Pop Group, Gold Panda, Lovin Spoonful, Toro Y Moi e soprattutto una cover ad opera degli stessi Belle & Sebastian di “Crash”, canzone del 1988 dei Primitives.
