Madonna 'senza parole' dopo la vittoria ai Golden Globes

16 gen 2012 - Probabilmente non si aspettava di vincere neanche lei. E così, per una rara volta nella sua vita, Madonna è rimasta quasi senza parole quando si è avvicinata al microfono dei 2012 Golden Globes Awards per ringraziare per il premio appena ricevuto, il "Best original song" per la sua canzone "Masterpiece" del suo stesso film "W.E.". Madge, forse colta di sorpresa, inizialmente ha fatto fatica ad articolare. Poi, riferendosi al precedente premiato, Ludovic Bource che aveva ricevuto il "Best original score" per "The artist", ha detto: "Non sono francese, non ho scuse". Poi ha affermato d'essere stata riluttante a comporre un brano per un suo proprio film, visto che avrebbe voluto concentrarsi sulla regia. "Ma poi in qualche modo", ha detto, "magicamente e miracolosamente, è emersa una canzone". In "W.E." si parla della storia di re Edoardo VIII e della divorziata statunitense Wallis Simpson; in italiano il titolo è "Edward e Wallis: il mio regno per una donna". Nella vicenda storica, il re abdicò pur di poter sposare la Simpson. La donna morì nel 1986, mentre Edoardo, duca di Windsor, nel 1972. All'epoca la complicata love story causò in Gran Bretagna una vera e propria crisi istituzionale e il re dovette rinunciare al trono nel dicembre 1936.
