Queen Latifah torna al piccolo schermo

01 nov 2011 - Queen Latifah avrà presto un suo nuovo talk show. La cantante, rapper e attrice ha firmato un accordo tramite la sua Flavor Unit Productions con la Overbrook Productions di Will Smith per produrre un nuovo programma televisivo per la Sony Pictures Television. Latifah, vero nome Dana Owens, ha di recente spostato da Jersey City, New Jersey a Miami, Florida la sua compagnia di produzione, fondata molti anni fa con il socio Shakim Compere. L’artista non è nuova al piccolo schermo, avendo presentato il suo “The Queen Latifah Show” dal 1999 al 2001 con buoni risultati d'ascolto, ospitando ogni pomeriggio persone comuni alle prese con le loro problematiche. In tv è stata anche protagonista della serie “Living single” tra il 1993 e il 1998. Il nuovo talk show dovrebbe debuttare nel 2013. Nel frattempo, Queen Latifah ha firmato un contratto con il rapper Cam’ron per produrre un nuovo film intitolato “Percentages” ed è anche produttrice di due programmi televisivi: “Single ladies” per VH1 e “Let’s stay together” per BET.
