Ron Wood premiato ai Sony Radio Academy Awards. I vincitori

10 mag 2011 - Ron Wood, nonostante trasmetta da poco più di un anno, ha ricevuto il titolo di "Music Radio Personality of the Year" ai Sony Radio Academy Awards svoltisi ieri sera presso l'albergo Grosvenor House di Londra. Al musicista dei Rolling Stones, che parla dai microfoni di Absolute Radio, il titolo è stato conferito in quanto "personaggio sorprendente con un programma molto innovativo; Ronnie ha vissuto come mille uomini". Wood, i cui ultimi due anni sono stati densissimi di turbolente vicissitudini personali, è andato a ricevere il premio subito dopo il più giovane Frank Skinner. Avvicendandosi, Ronnie ha detto: "Questo premio ha più significato per me che per Frank perché qui il novellino sono io". Buona parte dei premi è stata consegnata direttamente dai presentatori, tra i quali Geri Halliwell (ex Spice Girls), Andrea Corr (ex Corrs), Rachel Stevens (ex S Club 7) e James Morrison.
