My Chemical Romance e gli altri, tutti i vincitori degli NME Awards

24 feb 2011 - Alla O2 Academy Brixton di Londra sono stati assegnati gli NME Awards, i premi dello storico settimanale britannico "New Musical Express" che viene pubblicato dal 1952. I My Chemical Romance sono tra i maggiori vincitori: la band, oltre ad aprire live la cerimonia, ha conquistato il "Best international band" ed il "Best video", quest'ultimo per "Na na na". I Muse sono tornati a casa con il riconoscimento "Best British band" per il secondo anno consecutivo, mentre il loro frontman Matt Bellamy è entrato in possesso del "Sexiest male 2011". Tra le delusioni i Foals, con quattro nomination ma un solo premio, e gli Arcade Fire, anch'essi con quattro menzioni ed un solo riconoscimento. A chiudere la serata hanno provveduto i Foo Fighters. Tra gli altri performer dello show londinese, PJ Harvey, Hurts e Crystal Castles. I vincitori nelle principali categorie degli Shockwaves NME Awards 2011:
