Classifiche UK: al primo posto a sorpresa il rapper londinese Plan B

19 apr 2010 - Va, piuttosto a sorpresa, al primo posto della nuova classifica britannica "The defamation of Strickland Banks", il secondo album del rapper londinese Plan B. Il suo precedente, "Who needs actions when you got words" del giugno 2006, si era fermato al numero trenta. Plan B è il nome d'arte di Ben Drew, 26 anni, della zona londinese di Forest Gate. Drew, che è anche attore, ha debuttato nel 2005 sulla compilation di genere grime "Run the road" e poco dopo col suo primo singolo
"Kidz"/"Dead and buried". Gli Scouting For Girls, trio pop di Londra, entrano al numero 2 con "Everybody wants to be on TV". "The fame" di Lady GaGa arretra al 3 dopo 66 settimane in chart mentre al numero 4 esordisce "Congratulations" del duo newyorkese degli MGMT. Scende di due tacche "My world" di Justin Bieber ed è quinto. Giù anche le posizioni dal sei all'otto con "Sunny side up" di Paolo Nutini (46 settimane di permanenza) al sei, "Brother" dei Boyzone al sette e "Lungs" di Florence
& The Machine all'otto. Ultima new entry della tornata è, al 9, "Simple times" di Joshua Radin, cantautore dell'Ohio. Chiude la Top 10 "The very best of" dei Free & Bad Company. Per quanto riguarda i singoli, passa dal numero 2 al numero 1 "OMG" di Usher con will.i.am dei Black Eyed Peas. Queste le due Top 10.
